Biography:
Dr. Hann-Chorng Kuo was graduated from National Taiwan University (NTUH) in 1979. He received his residency training for four years after serving in the army. He was promoted as a visiting staff in NTUH and lecture of the National Taiwan University in 1985. Then he went to Hofuf, Saudi Arabia and served in Hofuf General Hospital for one year as a diplomatic supportive doctor. In 1988, Hann-Chorng moved to Tzu Chi General Hospital, Hualien, Taiwan and served as the chief of the department of Urology in Tzu Chi General Hospital (TCGH) till now. Currently Hann-Chorng is also the vice Chief Executive Officer of the Buddhist Tzu Chi Medical Foundation and is in charge of the research advance of the Tzu Chi General Hospital group.

During these 32 years, Hann-Chorng devoted himself into clinical and research works in neurourology and urodynamics. He developed a videourodynamic laboratory and a wet lab for human bladder tissues and animal researches in TCGH. Through detailed clinical observations and over 25 thousand videourodynamic studies, Hann-Chorng has published more than 600 peer reviewed papers and wrote more than 20 monographs in the field of general urology, urodynamics, bladder outlet obstruction, neurogenic bladder, female urology and overactive bladder.

The interests of Hann-Chorng are in many aspects. Recently he has research interests focused on the biomarkers for overactive bladder such as urinary nerve growth factor, serum CRP, cytokines, and bladder wall thickness; clinical application of botulinum toxin in lower urinary tract dysfunction; and pathophysiology of interstitial cystitis and painful bladder syndrome. He also devoted a lot of time in the continence promotion and educational program of incontinence and voiding dysfunction in Taiwanese Continence Society (TCS).

Hann-Chorng had gained his professor title in Tzu Chi University School of Medicine in 2001 and was the president of the TCS in 2006 through 2012 and was the president of Taiwan Urological Association (TUA) from 2014 t0 2016. In the field of scientific journals, he currently is the Editor-in-Chief of the Tzu Chi Medical Journal, associate editor of LUTS and Urological Science (Taiwan), member of the advisory board of Nature Review Urology, and is the editor of British Journal of Urology International, International Brazil Journal of Urology, International Neurourology Journal, Korean Journal of Urology, and Current Bladder Reports. Hann-Chorng is also the reviewer of several top urological journals such as Journal of Urology, European Urology, British Journal of Urology International, Neurourology & Urodynamics, Urology, Nature Rev Urol, PLoS ONE, and International Journal of Urology.

1.Personal information:
Yuan-Hong Jiang (MD) is an associate professor of School of Medicine in Tzu
Chi University, and works in Department of Urology of Buddhist Tzu Chi
General Hospital in Taiwan. He has served as a director of Taiwanese
Continence Society since 2018. He is interested in functional urology
including voiding dysfunction, urodynamics, and female urology. He has
published more than 120 peer-reviewed articles. In recent years, his research
focuses on urinary biomarkers in lower urinary tract diseases, including
interstitial cystitis, overactive bladder, dysfunctional voiding, and detrusor
underactivity.

Biography:
Yao-Chi Chuang is a Professor in the Division of Urology at the Kaohsiung Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, and School of Medicine, College of Medicine, National Sun Yat-sen University Taiwan. Dr. Chuang is the chief of Center for Shockwave Medicine and Tissue Engineering at the Kaohsiung Chang Gung Memorial Hospital.

After graduating from the National Yang-Ming University School of Medicine in 1988, Dr Chuang completed his residency in urology at Veterans General Hospital, Taipei. He was awarded a research Fellowship in the Department of Pharmacology and Urology at the University of Pittsburgh in 1999–2000, where he worked with Professor deGroat, Chancellor, and Yoshimura on the study of physiology and pharmacology of lower urinary tract.

Dr Chuang is a member of both the Surgical and Urology Associations of Taiwan. He has a particular interest in neuro-urology, female urology, and minimal invasive treatment for prostate disease. Dr Chuang is continuous working on the research of IC/PBS, OAB, UAB, DM related lower urinary tract dysfunction (LUTD), and use of low energy shock wave, botulinum toxin, and liposome for the treatment of LUTD.

Dr Chuang has published over 150 peer-reviewed articles, and he also serves as reviewers for many scientific journals. He has been invited to give lectures more than 100 times in the national and international meeting.

Dr Chuang has won awards from Lapides Essay Contest for 6 times including grand prize in 2021, and Taiwan Urological Association for 9 times. Dr Chuang has received research grant from Ministry of Science and Technology, Taiwan since 2001, and NIH from 2003 to 2005.

Dr Chuang is an editorial member of International Urology and Nephrology, Asia Journal of Urology, and LUTS. Dr Chuang is the chief editor of Urological Science, official journal of Taiwan Urological Association.

Biography:
Dr. Hann-Chorng Kuo was graduated from National Taiwan University (NTUH) in 1979. He received his residency training for four years after serving in the army. He was promoted as a visiting staff in NTUH and lecture of the National Taiwan University in 1985. Then he went to Hofuf, Saudi Arabia and served in Hofuf General Hospital for one year as a diplomatic supportive doctor. In 1988, Hann-Chorng moved to Tzu Chi General Hospital, Hualien, Taiwan and served as the chief of the department of Urology in Tzu Chi General Hospital (TCGH) till now. Currently Hann-Chorng is also the vice Chief Executive Officer of the Buddhist Tzu Chi Medical Foundation and is in charge of the research advance of the Tzu Chi General Hospital group.

During these 32 years, Hann-Chorng devoted himself into clinical and research works in neurourology and urodynamics. He developed a videourodynamic laboratory and a wet lab for human bladder tissues and animal researches in TCGH. Through detailed clinical observations and over 25 thousand videourodynamic studies, Hann-Chorng has published more than 600 peer reviewed papers and wrote more than 20 monographs in the field of general urology, urodynamics, bladder outlet obstruction, neurogenic bladder, female urology and overactive bladder.

The interests of Hann-Chorng are in many aspects. Recently he has research interests focused on the biomarkers for overactive bladder such as urinary nerve growth factor, serum CRP, cytokines, and bladder wall thickness; clinical application of botulinum toxin in lower urinary tract dysfunction; and pathophysiology of interstitial cystitis and painful bladder syndrome. He also devoted a lot of time in the continence promotion and educational program of incontinence and voiding dysfunction in Taiwanese Continence Society (TCS).

Hann-Chorng had gained his professor title in Tzu Chi University School of Medicine in 2001 and was the president of the TCS in 2006 through 2012 and was the president of Taiwan Urological Association (TUA) from 2014 t0 2016. In the field of scientific journals, he currently is the Editor-in-Chief of the Tzu Chi Medical Journal, associate editor of LUTS and Urological Science (Taiwan), member of the advisory board of Nature Review Urology, and is the editor of British Journal of Urology International, International Brazil Journal of Urology, International Neurourology Journal, Korean Journal of Urology, and Current Bladder Reports. Hann-Chorng is also the reviewer of several top urological journals such as Journal of Urology, European Urology, British Journal of Urology International, Neurourology & Urodynamics, Urology, Nature Rev Urol, PLoS ONE, and International Journal of Urology.

Dr. Jia-Fong Jhang was borned in 1984. He was graduated from School of Medicine, Tzu Chi University in 2009. He received urology residency training in Hualien Tzu Chi General Hospital for five years after serving in the army. Now he is the attending physician in the Urology department of Haulien Tzu Chi General hospital. Since the residency training, Jia-Fong started clinical and research works in neurourology and urodynamics. The interests of Jia-Fong Jhang are female urology, interstitial cystitis and ketamine related cystitis. He studied in Institute of Medical Sciences, Tzu Chi University for PhD degree since 2019 and graduated in 2023.

Biography:
Dr. Hann-Chorng Kuo was graduated from National Taiwan University (NTUH) in 1979. He received his residency training for four years after serving in the army. He was promoted as a visiting staff in NTUH and lecture of the National Taiwan University in 1985. Then he went to Hofuf, Saudi Arabia and served in Hofuf General Hospital for one year as a diplomatic supportive doctor. In 1988, Hann-Chorng moved to Tzu Chi General Hospital, Hualien, Taiwan and served as the chief of the department of Urology in Tzu Chi General Hospital (TCGH) till now. Currently Hann-Chorng is also the vice Chief Executive Officer of the Buddhist Tzu Chi Medical Foundation and is in charge of the research advance of the Tzu Chi General Hospital group.

During these 32 years, Hann-Chorng devoted himself into clinical and research works in neurourology and urodynamics. He developed a videourodynamic laboratory and a wet lab for human bladder tissues and animal researches in TCGH. Through detailed clinical observations and over 25 thousand videourodynamic studies, Hann-Chorng has published more than 600 peer reviewed papers and wrote more than 20 monographs in the field of general urology, urodynamics, bladder outlet obstruction, neurogenic bladder, female urology and overactive bladder.

The interests of Hann-Chorng are in many aspects. Recently he has research interests focused on the biomarkers for overactive bladder such as urinary nerve growth factor, serum CRP, cytokines, and bladder wall thickness; clinical application of botulinum toxin in lower urinary tract dysfunction; and pathophysiology of interstitial cystitis and painful bladder syndrome. He also devoted a lot of time in the continence promotion and educational program of incontinence and voiding dysfunction in Taiwanese Continence Society (TCS).

Hann-Chorng had gained his professor title in Tzu Chi University School of Medicine in 2001 and was the president of the TCS in 2006 through 2012 and was the president of Taiwan Urological Association (TUA) from 2014 t0 2016. In the field of scientific journals, he currently is the Editor-in-Chief of the Tzu Chi Medical Journal, associate editor of LUTS and Urological Science (Taiwan), member of the advisory board of Nature Review Urology, and is the editor of British Journal of Urology International, International Brazil Journal of Urology, International Neurourology Journal, Korean Journal of Urology, and Current Bladder Reports. Hann-Chorng is also the reviewer of several top urological journals such as Journal of Urology, European Urology, British Journal of Urology International, Neurourology & Urodynamics, Urology, Nature Rev Urol, PLoS ONE, and International Journal of Urology.
